Citi Prestige - TSA PreCheck

Can I use the $100 Global Entry benefit on Citi Prestige to pay instead for TSA PreCheck?

Why? Global Entry includes TSA PreCheck, so you might as well sign up for that.

Some people are eligible for TSA PreCheck, but not for Global Entry.

I think we've had this conversation before, but what are some practical reasons someone would be eligible for pre check but not for GE ? (besides having a criminal record)

Global Entry = a passport is required.

TSA = a passport is not required.

You can use the benefit for the item specified by the t&c, Just because GE happens to include PC, doesn't mean the card pays for it.

So what?
Most people who even travel on a somewhat regular basis, elect to get a passport,"just in case"
If not, they should again "just in case"

Very few benefits of the prestige card are geared for those that travel only domestically.

I am sorry but only a fool would not get a passport even if they mainly travel domestically. Everyone should have a passport active at all times. Its a small price to pay to have in your life especially when a passport lasts for 10 years.

Not everyone lives near an airport that has a Global Entry Enrollment Center whereas TSA Pre-Check enrollment sites are more readily available.

There are people who are not eligible for passport, for example, like falling behind on alimony & child support. You can thank modern feminism for that draconian regulation.
