Transition-Related Notes
• Members are starting to receive Priority Pass Select cards in the mail. These are sent by Collinson via USPS, separately from the rebranded Prestige cards.
• There was a decimal rounding error in the ThankYou point accounting on October statements. Remove a 0 from each of the totals reported - it should then match
• Members who signed up prior to 10/18 still only receive a $250 airline credit for the year; if you previously used the $200 incidental credit, you can get another $50 in airline purchases reimbursed through December.
• If you signed up before 10/18/14 you are eligible to receive the 15% discount and companion benefits for a year after your signup date. Call Citi at 877-288-2484 and ask to speak with a travel specialist, rather than letting them send the information to Spirit Incentives for an email quote. There are mixed reviews as to the efficacy of this service.

When you log into the citibank website, go to the your Prestige activity page and then go to this link: https://www.accountonline.com/cards/svc/SummaryPromo.do
You'll see a breakout of flight points and regular thank you points.

EDIT: Link does work, but you definitely do have to drill into the Prestige activity page first like you indicated or the page won't resolve.

Just got off the phone with the CSR to activate the card and he provided a few more tidbits of information. Airport Angel will be replaced w/ PriorityPass (for primary & AU) and $200 airline fee reimbursement will be bumped up to $250
Still saying mid October for the change and everyone will get newly designed cards.

Any idea whether this will be a (1) downgrade to a "Standard" PriorityPass version similar to the two free visit "Lounge Club" memberships ->$27/visit offered by the Chase Ink cards, (2) identical to AmEx Plat benefit / most similar to existing Airport Angel access but with a more US-centric lounge network, or (3) an upgrade like the Chase Ritz Carlton card's "Lounge Club" version that grants free cardholder AND guest access?

It should work as long as you're already on an accountonline.com page. If you're logged into a citibankonline.com page, it probably won't work.

This is what I believe he was referring to. He said VIP Priority pass because it offered more domestic lounge access than airport angel. i am pretty sure it will be the same setup as AMEX where we won't be able to use United Club

When you say Primary & AU do you mean that both will get separate PriorityPass select memberships (a la AmEx)?

American Express seems to have negotiated an exclusive deal with Priority Pass for North America, around the same time that the restricted Priority Pass Select was introduced. At the same time Colinson introduced the even more restricted Lounge Club brand for MasterCard and VISA issuers. Citi opted out and switched to Airport Angel.
Their deal with American Express could have ended, but it seems unlikely that Colinson would be able to make a deal with Citi but keep Bank of America, Chase, et. al. on Lounge Club.
None of these programs has much in the way of North American lounge access. I don't think it will be an important change no matter which version they offer.

Nonetheless, I would consider even Lounge Club a slight improvement over the current Airport Angel for domestic lounge access as it includes AS Boardroom access and access to "The Club" locations in ATL, DFW, LAS, PHX and SJC.

Yes, Lounge Club is a major improvement from Airport Angel, at least domestically.

prestige card changes
do you know if we have to use our companion ticket before the change date.
should i try to use my companion ticket as soon as possible. me and my wife both haven't used our companion ticket yet this membership year
i think that was the best feature of the prestige card.
if they are getting rid of every benefit of the prestige card, what are they giving us back?

Same concern here, should we use the companion ticket asap? haven't used yet, but it's going to be removed, what a bummer!

Likely nothing will drop off your account before the new changes take effect, which all data points to October for. If it follows suit with the Premier, everyone should receive mailers in the next couple weeks detailing what's changing and when. Your benefit SHOULDN'T drop off until your annual renewal date, since you paid the annual fee for this year for the benefits attached. Not to say Citi won't mess things up, but that would be the hope.
