Transition-Related Notes
• Members are starting to receive Priority Pass Select cards in the mail. These are sent by Collinson via USPS, separately from the rebranded Prestige cards.
• There was a decimal rounding error in the ThankYou point accounting on October statements. Remove a 0 from each of the totals reported - it should then match
• Members who signed up prior to 10/18 still only receive a $250 airline credit for the year; if you previously used the $200 incidental credit, you can get another $50 in airline purchases reimbursed through December.
• If you signed up before 10/18/14 you are eligible to receive the 15% discount and companion benefits for a year after your signup date. Call Citi at 877-288-2484 and ask to speak with a travel specialist, rather than letting them send the information to Spirit Incentives for an email quote. There are mixed reviews as to the efficacy of this service.

I called in today to ask them if there were any upcoming changes to the benefits of the card. I made no mention of the companion airfare and 15% off of plane tickets via spirit incentives. However, the CR stated that they will be removed and this will happen mid October. Why you may ask? Because Citi said so. That was his response.
Any mention of flight points?

He said that whatever the new benefits list is, vs the old one, accurately shows the benefits that will be going away. But he did not specify a specific date other than for the companion ticket and the 15% off of single tickets.

They will match the points, but not the annual fee. I applied in branch, while my mother applied online. She was able to get the points applied, but the annual fee was a no go.

Just spoke with a phone CSR. I asked, verbatim, "I've heard that the benefits on the Prestige might be changing later in the year -- can you give me some details?"
Her response: Flight points, 15% discount, companion ticket going away (we knew all this); new benefits are a handful of increased earn rates. Specifically, 3x back on flights* and hotels, 2x back on dining and entertainment, 1x all other purchases.
I'll probably just burn through my flight points and downgrade this to a Preferred for AAoA purposes...
*Unclear if it means "flights booked directly with the airline" (i.e. how Amex PRG does it) or if booking through e.g. Orbitz would count. I forgot to ask.

Any mention of the $200 annual airline credit?
I'm going to have two tickets to Hawaii flown right before my annual is going to hit again. I'm pretty sure I'll have to pay the same month they would be crediting. But if I'll get the $200 credit in 2015 and then again in 2016 (before I'd cancel), I might be able to justify it. I will definitely cancel the AU card and save the $50, no reason to keep it. I already get 2x back on hotels and entertainment with the Premiere and 3x dining.

I have it on good authority that the ability to transfer TY points to airline miles is also coming soon. I'm pretty sure my source said it would be 1:1, but the list of airlines may be kind of weird if he is correct. I don't know the exact timing of when it's supposed to launch.
