Transition-Related Notes
• Members are starting to receive Priority Pass Select cards in the mail. These are sent by Collinson via USPS, separately from the rebranded Prestige cards.
• There was a decimal rounding error in the ThankYou point accounting on October statements. Remove a 0 from each of the totals reported - it should then match
• Members who signed up prior to 10/18 still only receive a $250 airline credit for the year; if you previously used the $200 incidental credit, you can get another $50 in airline purchases reimbursed through December.
• If you signed up before 10/18/14 you are eligible to receive the 15% discount and companion benefits for a year after your signup date. Call Citi at 877-288-2484 and ask to speak with a travel specialist, rather than letting them send the information to Spirit Incentives for an email quote. There are mixed reviews as to the efficacy of this service.

Finally took the plunge and am approved for Citi Prestige. I look forward to transferring the 30K TYP to 45K HH. I also like access to AC again. The $250 for airlines is great. While some benefits duplicate Amex Plat, there is still enough distinctive benefits to justify the remaining $200 fee, at least for the first year. Also, bundled with Citi AAdvantage MC and Citi Hilton Reserve makes this a total package for me. I have never had a bad experience at a Hilton and relatively no complaints with AA.

The Wikipost of this thread shows that Barclays Arrival treated a viator.com purchase as eligible for reimbursement as travel. Post 68 tells you the name of the member who added that information to the Wiki, and s/he may be able to lookup the actual merchant classification which is what will determine how Citi treats it.
Thanks Taliesin. I am waiting for my first TYP card and am still learning. I see that AA translates at 1.6 making the 30K worth $480 as you stated. I doubt that 45K HH points would yield me that value; maybe 1.5 nights in a room at $150 a night. So that would be only $225.

I think if enough prestige cardholders call in and bytch about the narrowly defined travel category, Citi might consider expanding the category just like what is happening with the TY Premier. A lot of people travel domestically on Amtrak and we don't get travel credit or bonus unlike various Chase cards.

Did anyone else's (matched by spend or, as Citi is now apparently doing it, by total points earned during the statement period) Flight Points not transfer over to their Thank You account this month?
My statement just closed a few days ago, and all other points were transferred over, so I'll give it another day and give Citi a call.

And the kicker is, I just did a product change in december from the TY Premier (grandfathered fee-waiver from Citigold) to the Prestige ($350 AF), and they announced these changes. Now I have to decide by February do I keep the prestige or revert. I just claimed the $250 air credit for year 2014 and now have the credit again for year 2015.

my statement closed today and I received $250 travel credit for the flights I purchased in Dec.so it seems even if purchases are Dec, as long as statement cuts in Jan credit resets
also there are additional bonus TYPs on my statement ..all earned TYPs including flight points are already in my thank you account ..not sure what is this additional bonus and when will it post...anyone in the same boat?

Yes! This is what Citi has placed on my account:
VIATOR TOURS AND ATTRA SAN FRANCISCO CA
TRAVEL AGENCY AND TOUR OPERATORS
So it appears I may receive 3TYP per dollar.
