Transition-Related Notes
• Members are starting to receive Priority Pass Select cards in the mail. These are sent by Collinson via USPS, separately from the rebranded Prestige cards.
• There was a decimal rounding error in the ThankYou point accounting on October statements. Remove a 0 from each of the totals reported - it should then match
• Members who signed up prior to 10/18 still only receive a $250 airline credit for the year; if you previously used the $200 incidental credit, you can get another $50 in airline purchases reimbursed through December.
• If you signed up before 10/18/14 you are eligible to receive the 15% discount and companion benefits for a year after your signup date. Call Citi at 877-288-2484 and ask to speak with a travel specialist, rather than letting them send the information to Spirit Incentives for an email quote. There are mixed reviews as to the efficacy of this service.

Congratulations you have made the most of your flight experience!
You have used your $250.00 Air Travel Credit for the year.
The credit will reset to $250.00 after your December 2015 billing cycle.

Awesome! Thanks for sharing this.

I just got my card a few days ago...if I read this right, I can use my $250 credit to buy a ticket before my Dec 2014 statement closes, and then my $250 credit will reset, and I can use it again in 2015, right?

I was actually about to pull the trigger just to find out, but the price of the trip I was going to book went up 30% in the interim!

Look at your statement closing date, if it is in January, you need to call citi and change your due date in a way that next statement closing date falls in December. Given that we are very close to the end of December it may or may not be possible at this time. Best way to do that is letting the agent explicitly know what you want to do --> next statement closing date to be in December. If lucky, s/he should be able to do that for you. If you find yourself dealing with one of those not-so-competent agents, HUCA.

Thanks! I changed the due date to 12/28 but was told that the statement wouldn't close in time, both via SM, live chat, and phone agent. I'll try again later, just in case. Doesn't seem likely.

Not too disappointed, since the posts I read in this thread before I got the card suggested I wouldn't get it. I do think the benefit was set up to be intentionally misleading, though. If they were playing it straight, they would have set it up like AMEX's benefit: covers transactions charged from 1/1-12/31. I'll mention my disappointment when I cancel my AA Executive and Platinum cards and maybe it'll get me a retention offer.

With Citi you have all sorts of absurdities. Some of them work in your favor, some don't. Hard to say which one is intentional...

Account messages:

"Congratulations you have made the most of your flight experience!

So this backs up the info a previous FTs said about calling concierge and asking about this! Good news!

Crap I didn't realize this would be reimbursed at the statement, thought it would be more like the Plat card where they reimburse it a few days later.

Ugh looks like I am SOL. This is really going to be a pain since the calendar year lines up so closely with my card year that getting the $250 next year may not happen due to the annual fee cycle.

Adjusted/Expired Points -19,399

My statement shows this. I did book award tickets before Oct. 15, 2014 and refunded it back two weeks ago. So they deducted the flight points, right?

Do you mean that you used the Prestige card to pay the fees on an airline mileage redemption, which you cancelled? If you cancelled before the date of the first flight you were probably never credited for the Flight Points, and there would not be any Flight Points transaction to reverse.

Did you recently cancel any card enrolled in ThankYou Rewards? Citi tracks the balance for each card. If you close an account any unredeemed points expire 30 days later, even if you still hold other cards linked to the same TY account.

Yes, I used prestige card to pay the fees on UA mileage redemption and canceled it but not redeposit back to my account. And the flight points had been added into my account. The original flight is the end of this October. Early this December, I need to use these miles to book award travel for my parent and I called UA to refund and redeposit the miles to back to my account.

My credit statement show this deduction but it seems that my thankyou balance credit the full amount. I do not know the reason.

No, I did not close any citicards recently. Thanks

For those of you on the fence...The annual fee is lowered to $350 for the first year with 30,000 points and another 30,000 points with spending $15,000 in the first year when you apply in a branch. No citigold required.

I believe you have to apply in branch. The offer is targeted for Citigold members, but there have been reports of being able to apply without being Citigold. Best bet would be to try your local Citi branch.
