Transition-Related Notes
• Members are starting to receive Priority Pass Select cards in the mail. These are sent by Collinson via USPS, separately from the rebranded Prestige cards.
• There was a decimal rounding error in the ThankYou point accounting on October statements. Remove a 0 from each of the totals reported - it should then match
• Members who signed up prior to 10/18 still only receive a $250 airline credit for the year; if you previously used the $200 incidental credit, you can get another $50 in airline purchases reimbursed through December.
• If you signed up before 10/18/14 you are eligible to receive the 15% discount and companion benefits for a year after your signup date. Call Citi at 877-288-2484 and ask to speak with a travel specialist, rather than letting them send the information to Spirit Incentives for an email quote. There are mixed reviews as to the efficacy of this service.

My account manager showed me the internal only Citibank documentation at the branch. There isn't a separate app for the $350 version. They just verify that you have Citigold using their systems and then reduce your annual fee to $350. If you apply online then you have to call them after you've been approved and they'll reduce the fee to $350.

And yes, the $350 fee is only for Citigold and Private Bank clients.

When calling into Citi for the companion fare - do both the cardholder and the companion ticket holder also receive mileage as if the ticket is a revenue fare?

Hoping to combine this with other offers for a double AA status run

Interestingly enough, on 10/17 I booked Delta ticket with Air France miles (transferred from Citi) from TLV to SFO and back, and paid $90 in taxes using Prestige card. They awarded me 14800 flight points, refunded the taxes, and also gave me 3x points on taxes. The ticket is not just completely free, they paid me for buying it! This is incredible!

I booked a companion ticket on AA (albeit via Spirit Incentives), and both members received mileage. It appeared on AA.com as any other revenue ticket would, and was upgradable with mileage instruments, .etc.

It does as long as merchant is coded properly. Merchant coding is done by MasterCard, so it is supposed to be world wide.

If I purchased a flight for someone else, do I still get the $250 airfare reimbursement?

I also would love to know if hotels booked this way count towards the hotel rewards program and elite night count.

feeling a bit thick
so i just buy the Travel Gift Card from aa.com prior to close of statement in December; then I automatically get the travel credit, just like that; no calling in, etc..

I just received my new Citi Prestige card Friday. I thought I had to call in to activate the $250 Airline Credit benefit. When I spoke to the rep today, she told me that I didn't need to do that any more and that it was already active.

Does this sound right or do I need to call in to another rep?

Thanks!

You can also apply as global client in branch. Also 350 AF with 60K bonus.
