Transition-Related Notes
• Members are starting to receive Priority Pass Select cards in the mail. These are sent by Collinson via USPS, separately from the rebranded Prestige cards.
• There was a decimal rounding error in the ThankYou point accounting on October statements. Remove a 0 from each of the totals reported - it should then match
• Members who signed up prior to 10/18 still only receive a $250 airline credit for the year; if you previously used the $200 incidental credit, you can get another $50 in airline purchases reimbursed through December.
• If you signed up before 10/18/14 you are eligible to receive the 15% discount and companion benefits for a year after your signup date. Call Citi at 877-288-2484 and ask to speak with a travel specialist, rather than letting them send the information to Spirit Incentives for an email quote. There are mixed reviews as to the efficacy of this service.

I was in a Citi branch this morning and was told that the Oct. date that has been discussed is Oct. 18. Also was told they got an email on July 10 specifying "3-4 weeks" for new changes to become effective. No other details. Was told that applying now should grandfather in current benefits for a year.

Handout I was given mentioned the Companion ticket (still) but not the 15% Spriit Incentives deal. Still mentions flight points.

Very strange to me that there should be all these reports and rumors of changes with such a drawn-out timeline.

For new signup, was offered 30K for $3K spend in 3 months, plus 30K for $15K spend in 12 months. This printout, differently, includes the 15%-off Spirit Incentives.

Yes, that's what I was told this morning.

is this targeted? or you just need to go to a branch? I remember the online offer does not have the second part of the offer.
I'm still thinking about getting this card if I can get grandfathered in for a year

Looks like Citi's website got some minor updates today.

Interestingly, if I visit the Citi Prestige page while logged in, it talks about flight points. If I visit in another browser, no reference.

Flight Points bite the dust

"...earn one ThankYou Flight Point ("ThankYou Flight Points") for every mile flown when airline tickets are purchased through October 18, 2014 using your Card Account...."

Will I be able to get companion ticket for AU, if I apply for AU card now, or it's gone already? I have Prestige, but didn't apply for AU card yet.

Do we know if the companion ticket needs to be used by Oct 18th as well? Obviously if you want the flight points, but can you use it later if you aren't sure where you want to book?

I wonder if the flight points in your flight point bucket remain until they're gone?

I'll still have 30K+ by October 18th, and another 10K coming after a flight in December I have booked. That's a long time of spend for me on the Prestige.

That was certainly the case for the Premier card when Flight Points were eliminated last year; but we should all be alert to the fact that some cardholders reported difficulty with accurate FP matching against spend once the changes were in effect; and of course many of the Citi reps they spoke to were less than helpful

It seems like pulling existing FPs that users have already accrued would be grounds for some litigation against Citi...but then again, 80% of the time, the left hand doesn't know what the right hand is doing at that organization. I guess we'll just see how the chips fall.

Any experience with AC access on AA sold as US tickets? Agent said no, but this was after being admitted as SPH, so she may not have understood or the system may have allowed it regardless. The Citi terms seem to allow it.

If you mean an AA-coded flight sold on US ticket stock, yes.

If you mean an US-coded flight operated by AA, no.
