Declined for the Visa (got MC in February). I requested a recon. from a rep, and was declined a few days later. I wrote a letter to the executive department and was approved, I think they pulled my credit again, but I got the card
. 5k credit limit.

I tried to churn the AA Visa + Amex and was denied. I opened these accounts in July '11, and was hoping that 14 months after would qualify me for a new account, but I guess not so I will probably wait until December to try again. I'm going to call the reconsideration line tomorrow, but I have a feeling it will be pointless because I haven't reached that "sweet spot" of churning (~18 months)
I want to apply for the citi thank you card and do the 2 browser trick so I can get the 50k bonus on the Visa + MC. Can I apply lets say tomorrow or do I need to wait 65+ or so days until another Citi application?

Applied for both the Visa and MC yesterday, received e-mail saying I need to contact them. Clicked on link, used online chat function. In both cases they just wanted to know if they could text to my cell. Got approved for both. Limits weren't as high as I'd like, but I have three other Citi cards with higher limits, including a TY Amex that I'll probably downgrade to preferred. I'll try to see if they'll reallocate, but I doubt they'll do it. Will try for both AA cards in 3 months.
Also opened up the US Airways Premier with 40k miles yesterday, so pretty solid results.

just tried to access various links in this post and all of them return on initial open:
A system error has caused a delay in processing your application. Please try again later.
not sure if that means links are dead, or just maintenance.

Help Advice
So my girlfriend just applied for the TYP Visa and was denied. She did not do the two browser trick because she does not want four cards at the same time. She has a credit score of 819. The reasons were too few accounts currently paid as agreed and too many accounts with balances. She has three active accounts. One revolving account had a balance of 200 dollars and the other 500 dollars. She already paid them off in full and always does. She has an auto loan with less than 1000 left on the balance. She earns 34k per year and has rent of 700. Her average revolving credit history is 4 years right now.
My question is should she write a reconsideration letter or should she attempt to have the application reapplied to the MC version of the card?

Received the Visa and MC in the mail today. Reps verified that both were fee free for a year, and had the 50k TY point promotion, and had 0% interest for 12 months. The first rep said he hadn't seen the 50k offer combined with the 0% before. Glad I got in under the wire, hopefully they won't shut down the AA promo for a few months so I can get in on that next.

The link in post #603 still seems to work. If the link in that post works is it still ok for the 50k points? My girlfriend was planning on applying this morning but I'm a bit hesitant to give her the go-ahead with all these posts about 25k only....

I tried the 2 browser trick and got instantly approved for one and pending on the other. Yesterday, I got my letter in the mail saying that I was declined for the 2nd one.
So, is the consensus that I should try calling the reconsideration line first or just go right to sending a letter? I have 2 AA cards and a Citi card that I'd transfer credit from and/or cancel to get this card, so I'm thinking that the phone would be the best approach. Any thoughts on that?
Could somebody please post the reconsideration phone number and the address to send a letter to?
Thanks!
