Back in Oct. I applied for the Premier and the Preferred on the same day and got approved for both. Good luck.

I tried for the 2 Premier at the exact same time and was denied the Visa. Got the MC. Based on jjmiller's luck, Premier and Preferred may be the right choice.

Is it possible to apply for the visa and mc equivalents of the Premier card for the full 100k?

At the time I signed up it was 50,000 points after a $3,000 spend. Also the offer included 2 points for every 1$ spent for 12 months. So now that I have both bonuses, it's my main card unless Cap1 comes out with another promotion like last year.

Will I get a sign-up bonus?
I read the terms and conditions. It states that "This offer is only valid for new accounts".
I applied for the Premier card last Feb and closed it in Dec to avoid the annual fee. Now if I apply for the Premier card, will I be able to get a 50,000 sign-up bonus?

There are no airline points/miles transfers.
Since your question is really about the ThankYou points program & not this specific card/offer (since there are many Citi products that earn TYP), I suggest you read the discussion at http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/credi...ent-state.html.

I'm sure it's mentioned elsewhere, but Citi Thank You (and Ultimate Rewards also, but those points are more savable) is currently running an Amazon gift card promotion of 9,000 points for $100. Just cashed in $600 worth of credits on Amazon. Not bad for 30 minutes of work.

hyatt redemption
I am considering redeeming some TY points for Hyatt Gift Certs and know that they typically expire a little more than a year out from when you redeem them.
Could anyone please confirm that they are now redeeming certs good through March of 2013?
Any help/guidance would be very much appreciated.
Thanks in advance.

Just so if you choose to redeem the air by 100% of TYPs, you get a break of 25% on the pricing. TYP is at a fixed 0.01 cent per point by the way. Hence without the 25% discount, it is a strict 1c per point redemption value.
There is no trick in doing that. It is a standard website feature. The only "trick" is, the 25% discount is only available when the full air fare is paid by TYPs. You can do Point + Cash but then the point would become 1 cent per point. The lucrative loophole has long been plugged.

Had I paid in full for the ticket with the Premier card the Miles Flown bonus would've offset the TYP bonus by about 50 cents.

So what's the consensus? Are you guys applying for the two Premier cards, or one Premier card and the Preferred card (on the same day, of course)?
Also, it would be great if somebody could post the links for all three (Visa, MC - Premier and the Preferred). Thanks!

I don't think it's been mentioned yet, but the link in the first post of this thread is now for a 30,000 Bonus Points/First Year Fee Waived Offer. I did find a 50,000 point offer that does not waive the fee here:
