- What are the most current working links?
- Is this card churnable?
- How frequently can I apply for these cards?
- Do I have to close my previous card before reapplying?
- I got the 60K card and bonus but when I finished the spend on my second 60K card I did not get the bonus. What happened?
[1] What are the most current working links?
There is a standard offer for 50K points after $1K spend in 4 months. (No landing page is available for this offer; lnik taken from wiki for http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/citi-...amex-citi.html.)
There are no known 60K offers available. The most recent one expired in late September 2014.
[2] Is this card churnable?
In the past, this card has been easily churnable. However, in December 2014 Citi began inserting language into some applications and landing pages disqualifying current Hilton Visa cardholders & requiring an 18-month wait from the date of the previous card's cancellation. The application link listed above does not include this restriction, and FTers have confirmed that they have been approved through this application despite being current or recent holders of another Citi Hilton card.
[3] How frequently can I apply for these cards?
You can only apply for ONE Citi card in a week or TWO in two months (60 days). To be safe, it is frequently suggested to wait 8+ days between ANY two Citi applications and 65+ days until your third Citi application of ANY kind. These are rolling dates, so you have to wait at least 60 days (65+) from your second application to your 4th applications, and so forth.
If math is not your strong suit, you can use: http://www.timeanddate.com/date/duration.html.
Example:
Day 0 - Citi HHonors Card #1
Day 8 - Citi AA Personal Card
Day 65 - Citi AA Business Card
Day 73 - Citi HHonors Card #2
Day 130 - Citi TY Card
[4] Do I have to close my previous card before reapplying?
Not if you use the application link above. As stated above, in December 2014 Citi began introducing new application pages requiring an 18-month wait since cancellation of the prior card.
Note that when you close an account, Citi may not "free up" the credit limit from that card for as long as 6 months. So if you're going to apply within 6 months, it's better to not cancel beforehand.
[5] I got the 60K card and bonus but when I finished the spend on my second 60K card I did not get the bonus. What happened?
There appears to be a problem with Citi crediting you with both bonuses but Hilton not crediting the second bonus because their system sees it as a duplicate.
You need to open up a case, preferably with Hilton, and explain that you have two separate cards (feel free to explain one is for business and one for personal if they ask why you have multiple cards and you feel like explaining). You also need to diligently check back with them and make sure that they do not close the case as you already got the bonus.
This is very much a YMMV situation. Depending on who you talk to and where, this can be a relatively short process or a particularly unpleasant and long one. Best advice: Be nice to the CSRs and get them on your side or HUACA until you find someone useful.
For some people it may be worth getting the 50K card instead, possibly trying to "bump the bonus" to 60K and getting it as a 10K adjustment instead.

Ironically, though I then got a pre-approved mailing for 40k HH points. I could probably have appealed the decision, since I didn't get approved for the AA card. But I figure I'd wait. I got the Amex Hilton and the Chase Sapphire instead, which are good for me right now.

Thanks to UA Fan
I had no idea this offer was with two banks.
100k with two pulls. Not bad at all.

My wife and I just got email notification that we were approved for the Citi HHonors cards using the links in this thread. We applied last Wednesday, 61 days after approval for the Citi AA 75K Visa and AmEx cards. Nice to supplement the HHonors accounts, thanks OP!!

Mrs User name received her card (applied for using the 50K link in this thread) the other day. she called to activate yesterday and asked the rep to confirm the sign-up bonus. The rep didn't seem to know what she was talking about and transferred her to Hilton who (of course) couldn't help.
She waited a day and then called up the CS # on the back of the card to ask about the bonus. They said they didn't have any ifno about such things and again offered to transfer the call to Hilton.
This seems really strange, as we have always been able to confirm sign-up bonuses when activating cards with Citi (e.g. during multiple activation calls for our combined total of 6 AA cards) or any other card issuer for that matter.
Has anyone else encountered this problem before?
Update: Sent a SM and reply confirmed 50K, $1.5K/6m.

Any idea when this offer will expire? I just opened up my two Citi AA cards a week ago, but would like to take advantage of this offer in 60 days.

Actually it's dead soime seconds and alive others. Ie, it seems simply intermittent:
I just tried it, got Error as the screen title and no screen draw except a couple blue bars.
Then tried it again 20 seconds later, it worked (in terms of pulling up the application screen it's supossed to).

Good point. I, too, got the Error screen the first time, but taking your advice I tried again and an application came up. There is, however, no mention (as is often the case) of bonus points being involved, so it would make sense to first call Citi to confirm that bonus points (and how many/at what spending requirement) are still part of this offer.

There are tons of URLs out there for applying for each card, and only this URL is for 50k. But there's no way to tell Citi over the phone which URL you're using! (They certainly won't accept you reading a giant URL to them, and in any case most bank CS agents don't have web access at their terminal (for security reasons) so even if you did read they couldn't go there and even if they went there they wouldn't know what that app was.
Furthermore, if you call Citi's attention to the fact that you're about to make an app over a URL the origin of which you don't know, that'll just make it more likely they won't give you the points (after an investigation your call starts)!!!
Never, never, never call about a targeted offer that you've gotten access to without you yourself bieng targeted! The very act of trying to verify whether you'll get the bonus can cause you to not get the bonus, even though you may have gotten the bonus had you kept quiet!
The only thing you should do is, after applying, you can "innocently" ask them to verify the offer you just applied for, hopefully wihout mentioning what you think it should be.

It is a Fool's game to call the issuer about an offer posted in community such as FT because chances are, it is a far better offer that is not available to Public!
If you want to take advantage of such, apply. If you want a sure thing, then dont act at the first info. But after many data points, you should have enough info to decide whether you would take the plunge (risk, in your vision).

But you will continue to read about noobs insist they must see the description of the offers on the application page... In the case of Citi's application forms, I have NEVER see any bonus description on their application forms. And I cannot even remember how many Citi applications I have filled out over the years without referring back to my spreadsheet. .

How in the world would you do that? This is a URL that someone gave from an email, how in the world (wihtout a landing page) are you going to explain to them exactly which offer that link is for?
