choice visa - getting to 10k points...
i got the choice visa thinking it'd be an easy way to get delta miles through conversion, and now realize i need to get another 2k points to be able to transfer these to miles. any easy ways to do this besides buying them for $23 ?

Really no easy way to get points other than purchase them. I guess a guy could always stay another night or two and collect them that way but theres no challenge in that!:)

There are other ways to get that 2k, but they require you to move some activity from earning to Delta directly to earning to Choice. For example, you could actually make some non-trivial purchases with said Choice Visa card (but then you wouldn't earn your normal miles you presumably earn from some other card you usually use). Perhaps the simplest is to rent a car from Enterprise: http://www.enterprise.com/car_rental...ce_Hotels-_-CP That's exactly 2000 points if you can meet all the requirements. For a list of possibilites (shopping, etc), see the Earn column on this page: http://www.choicehotels.com/ires/en-...oicePrivileges |

enterprise a normal choice partner?
i rent from enterprise all the time; they are blocks from my apartment and their $16/day weekend rentals can't be beat. i didn't realize that they participated in any airline/hotel reward programs. i'm not a member of choice privileges but their exchange rate with SW RR is a good deal so this could be a good option for me.

From my experience, Choice points eligible rates were higher. |
