Trouble getting a Preferred Resort - Cape Cod
 

Good Morning,

Having trouble getting a night in a Preferred Resort - Wequassett Racquet and Golf Resort in Chatham in Cape Cod....which was why I got the choice privileges visa card to begin with!!!

When I called the resort directly, the resort reservation agent told me they have space available for the dates I wanted to stay.

When I check on-line, they appear to be booked through March 2009. The Choice Privileges reservation agent was very accomodating (thank you Marci!) and was also locked out - no availability on any date she checked.

Since I want to use up points and not $$s, does anyone have a workaround the reservation system?

I haven't tried calling the resort to ask why the online reservation system shows no availability, but that could be my next step...

I'm pretty sure Choice uses some form of the Preferred Hotels booking system, so if the website doesn't show any availability http://www.preferredhotels.com/ , then Choice definitely won't be able to book it on points.

You might try calling Preferred Hotels' reservations office:

I wouldn't mention anything about Choice points to them or the hotel, because it will likely just confuse them.
