Northern lights - Scandanavia

Would love to book something in the Nordic Choice Clarion Collection over Christmas to specifically catch the northern lights.
Anyone have any recommendations?

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but my understanding is that the northern lights are currently near the low of their many-year repeating cycle. And thus you may need to book more nights to get a good chance to see them at any given location compared to a few years ago or several years from now.

Supposedly 2017 was going to be the best year to see them before around 2025 or 2026. But I’ve known people to see them a couple of months ago this year even on their one or two night trips to the northern parts.

IIRC Tromso is a pretty good place to be, especially with weaker activity. Any hotels up there?

Because I don't have the time to look for that for the OP, but I do have the time to share advice. You're more than welcome to look it up yourself if you find my advice insufficient.
