One more thing about the Choice promo:
After a second qualifying stay with arrival between 04/02/2018 and 05/25/2018, members will be awarded a minimum of 5,000 and maximum of 8,000 bonus points, depending on the number of base points earned from the two (2) separate qualifying stays.
I don't know if that's new or not but for my two nights at Quality Inn's I got "only" 7000 points and now with my Rodeway Inn stays it probably gonna be even less.

They calculate the number of bonus points you get so that the sum of your two stays together equals 8,000 total points.

So if your first stay earns you 300 points and your second stay earns you 500 points for a total of 800 points, you'll receive 7,200 bonus points so your total is 8,000 points.

If your first stay earns you 1,000 points and your second stay earns you 1,200 points for a total of 2,200 points, you'll receive 5,800 bonus points so your total is 8,000 points.

However, if your first stay earns you 2,000 points and your second stay earns you 3,000 points (high spender!) for a total of 5,000 points, you'll still receive a minimum of 5,000 points (as per the T&C) for a total of 10,000 points.

So during the promo period, it doesn't make sense to spend more to stay at more expensive properties to earn more points because you end up earning 8,000 total points regardless (well, unless you spend a ton of money on your stays!).

7000 points per each one-night stay? That's great, because that's 14000 total.

7000 points total for 2 totally separate one-night stays? In that case, did you register for the promo? This promo is not automatic, you have to register.
