Can I book reward stay at Comfort Hotel in Japan for my family member?

I can't speak for Japan, unfortunately, but I've booked MANY domestic stays for someone else (with points) and had zero issues with them checking in. I'm afraid I can't remember if there was a place to change the name on the booking, or if I wrote it in the notes, but it worked flawlessly without ever having to pick up the phone.
