How quickly do points post after stay?
 

My points are expiring at the end of the month and I would like to quickly stay at a cheap property to keep my points.

I want to be absolutely sure that this stay will be not in vain. Am I safe doing this?
Would the BLUEGREEN VACATIONS CLUB 36, ASCEND RESORT COLLECTION give me points the same way regular hotels would?

There are other cheap ways to get points. Do you actually need this hotel stay? If not, since I bet that "cheap" hotel stay costs more then $11, why not just buy 1000 points for $11? Then (a) you don't have waste a stay don't need, and (b) you don't have to worry if the stay will post without any problems, and (c) you'll actually get more points per dollar spent than you would on that hotel stay with no promotion applying. To buy points, just select the Buy Points option from the dropdown in the upper right after logging in. (Well, you can select it before logging in, but you obviously need to log in to actually buy points.)

To answer the question posed in your thread title (which is quite different than the question posed in your message text): Points can post as soon as 2 days, but it can take longer, depending on the property.

The hotel stay option would only make sense if you actually need that hotel night, and/or if you're going to do a second paid hotel night before November 11 and thus earn at least 8000 points for those two separate stays (after registering for the current "stay twice, get a free night" promotion).

Points should post to your account within 72 hours of your stay.
