mystifying reservation
 
a few months back i made a reservation for xmas in chennai. i was very busy at the time and didnt really think much about it. when i came to collect the paperwork for the trip i discovered that 2 rooms had been booked instead of one and that the reservation was non-refundable. I wrote to customer service and the booking was changed to 1 room. I didnt expect to get any money back because it was a non refundable reservation. (it is not something i normally do, and i was surprised that i had made such a booking) However, when i study my bank statements i can find no trace of any payment ever having been made. I have started to think i am going nuts. has this happened to anyone else?

While I've always caught it before confirming the booking:

At least on the old Choice website (I haven't tried it or done it by accident yet on the new Choice website):

If you chose a room, then went back a page or two for some reason (say, to look at the room choices or hotel choices again), and then came back (while still in the same login session) and chose a room (at the same hotel) again, it would add a second room, rather than just re-choose the room.

thanks. Yes, i believed it was operator error...just me being stupid, drunk and watching the US election coverage at the same time. but that still doesnt explain why i can't find any trace of being billed. i have checked all bank accounts 50 times. and their page doesn't seem to provide a way of finding a receipt. i actually messaged their web page line but got no reply.
