First, let me sincerely apologize for any inconvenience you experienced when confirming a Preferred Hotel reservation. I understand redeeming your earned Choice Privileges points is important and we want this to be as easy as possible. You may confirm a Preferred Hotel reservation by contacting our Choice Privileges Member Services team by phone at 888-770-6800. When you reach the automated attendant ask to speak with an agent and one of our specialists would be happy to assist you. We are available 7 days a week from 8 a.m. – 9 p.m. Central time.

So is there a certain team to ask for during these hours? Just the “Member Services” team? When I’ve done this a couple times in the past, admittedly it was probably after 9pm Central but the agent had absolutely no idea what Preferred Hotels & Resorts was. Thanks.

Thank you for your interest in confirming a Preferred Hotel reservation. I am happy to assist.

Yes, the booking window would be based on your current elite status with Choice Privileges. If you have not achieved elite status yet, you may make your reservation personally through the program line up to 30 days prior to your planned arrival for stays in your country of residence and up to sixty days prior to your planned arrival at all other participating locations worldwide.

This reservation booking window will be extended when you reach elite status in Choice Privileges. It would be extended to a 50-day window for Elite Gold (60 days for international locations), 75 days for Elite Platinum (worldwide), and 100 days for Elite Diamond (worldwide).

For an overview of the Preferred Hotels & Resorts that can be redeemed using your points, please follow this link. You can find more specific information on this great benefit using this link.

Thank you for your reply. It is greatly appreciated. If you contacted us after the Member Services department closed, you may have reached the central reservations team. I regret to say that the central reservations team would not be able to assist with a Preferred Hotel reservation. The specialist you spoke with should certainly have advised you to contact Member Services for assistance and I sincerely apologize for the inconvenience you experienced.

The Preferred Hotel reservations are reserved by the specialist support team in Member Services. When you call, simply let the team know that you want to reserve one of the Preferred Hotels. They will collect the details of your stay and get you to a specialist able to confirm your reservation. We want to make sure you can take advantage of this excellent redemption option.

I successfully booked a reservation at a Preferred Hotel several weeks ago, but have yet to receive a confirmation email. When can I expect to receive this email, and can anything be done to expedite this process?

Has the choice-Preferred partnership been dissolved? There's no availability at ANY preferred hotel on ANY date anymore.

Just so you all know, I was able to book a stay at a Preferred Hotel yesterday. I just called and had no problems booking (beyond the call taking forever because I kept getting put on hold). I would encourage you if you want to book a stay just call and try to book it despite what it might say online about availability. I believe the availability not showing is part of the glitch being discussed in another thread (the one about Nordic Choice), and it doesn't mean that everything is sold out.

Calendar No Longer Available

When you click through on the choice hotels website to preferred hotels.. its now goes directly to the preferred hotels website. So there is no way to see the calendar or the redemption cost for the preferred hotels. Is this program still working?
