It's a different program.

So I severely doubt you can move points from the Choice Privileges program (which is nearly "worldwide", not just US) to the Nordic Choice program (which is a totally separate program).
There is no facility to move US Choice program accounts to the Nordic Choice Club program; and the points earning and redeeming rate are substantially different.

I was going to apply for the Choice credit card next week to use the points for my upcoming Norway trip. Looks like I saved myself a bunch of hassle just in time. Don't know if that is a good thing or bad. I guess both

You will continue to be able to redeem Choice Privileges points at Nordic Choice properties. We’re aware of a technology glitch that is impacting the visibility of reward nights availability on our website for properties in Scandinavia. We apologize for the inconvenience – this is currently being worked on. Once we have an ETA of when it will be corrected, I will post an update.

Still no resolution and poor customer service follow-up ...you can't book reward rooms, even close in , for hotels that have regular availability. I tried calling customer service and corporate offices and couldn't get through. I posted on Facebook today complaining harshly about this situation and I was told it would be responded to.

Reward nights are working for international destinations

Travelers -

We apologize for the delay in having reward nights available for the destinations we have regularly offered. You will now find all our regions available for reward night redemption. Thank you for your patience and for bringing this issue to our attention. Safe travels in 2016!

The new highest price for award nights in the Nordic Choice region has increased from 25,000 (Choice US) points per night to now be 35,000 points per night.

Just did a search for the hotels in Oslo for the summer and then all went from 10K to 16K

But I guess at least they are show up now and we don't need to call in to book.

16K is what they've always* been in the summer as far as I can remember. When were they 10k? Probably during colder seasons when fewer people visit.

I've used Choice redemptions in Norway on multiple occasions for over a decade, always in the summer, and it's always been 16k for most properties then. (I didn't bother checking what they were in other seasons.)
