Got the following offer in my monthly Choice Privileges Statement, yesterday.
Update your online account with your phone number and credit card number; then book through our mobile site in seconds. Plus earn 1,000 points on completed qualifying stays booked through RapidBook 7/18-10/18/13.†
†Terms & conditions: Stay must be booked using RapidBook between 7/18/13 and 10/18/13 at a qualifying rate. Points will post within 6 weeks of completed stay. Limit one (1) bonus per member per day during the promotion. A stay is defined as any number of consecutive nights at one hotel regardless of check-ins or check-outs. Valid only for US residents.

I didn't get an answer about using the app, so the cautious thing is to go to the site m.choicehotels.com , which can be done even on a desktop, be signed in, and when there's a rate quote there's a RapidBook link.

I hope the mobile app counts as well, although I'm not confident of this because it doesn't reference Rapidbook on the app. When I have tried to use the mobile website, I've gotten error messages and have been unable to book. I also noticed just now that when I tried to book using the mobile site, the rate was $5 higher than the rate I got using the app.

just cancelled a two-night reservation and rebooked through the mobile site at the same place and the other Choice property a mile away. Hope it works, and thanks for the possibility of 2000 extra points!

made two reservations through m.choicehotels.com, saw the RapidBook button and booked. Both have posted and neither got the bonus points. Will try a call sometime when I can leave the phone on speaker forever, but don't hold out much hope.
