Necessary to merge multiple reservations?
I will be staying at the Quality Hotel Axel Opera in Paris soon for 7 consecutive nights, which are currently spread out over three separate reservations: 3 nights, 3 nights, and 1 night. This is an award stay and was necessary due to how points were distributed among mine and gf's account and when we received them. I'm not anticipating a problem but was just wondering if anyone would suggest I attempt to merge the reservations just in case?

Not necessary.
When you check in, inform the Checkin Agent about the multiple reservations. They should allow you to keep the same room, but you will have to check out and check in again under each reservation. |

Many times it is easier to get split multiple reservations rather than reservations for one full period.
Besides it is also easier to change/ cancel separate reservations should there be a change in plans arrive later/ earlier or depart earlier/later. |

* Beware: Some hotels have 3 different "non-smoking 1 double bed" room types, and each one is internally a different type. Sometimes there is nothing in the description to even tell them apart. (It may be some difference they don't admit online, such as one room is a teeny bit bigger than the other or has a slightly different layout than the other.) In such a case, if you weren't paying attention to the exact room details, and booked similiar rooms which are not exactly the same, they may not be able to merge them. |

I'm confused. Were all 3 reservations booked from the same Choice account? If not, it may not be possible to merge them (that may cause them to pull more points from the wrong account!). Only if all 3 reservations were booked form the same Choice account, had the exact same room type*, etc, would it possible to merge them.
