storage lockers

Are luggage lockers available at Beijing Main and Shanghai train stations?
Is there a limit on the time and what is the cost?
Thank you

All airports and railway stations in China have left luggage facilities either usually both in the form of lockers with a superintendent, and a counter service with shelves behind. Railway stations tend to have both services run by the railway authorities and private operators ringing the square outside.

At Beijing Station there's luggage storage at the westernmost end (turn left as you leave the station and walk right to the far end of its frontage), and one in the passage down the east side of the main ticket office. From ¥10 for 7 hours, ¥25 for 24 hours, ¥40 for 24 hours for a big bag. ¥15 for each extra 12 hours. There's also baggage deposit in the alley leading to ticket window 106 which is real shelves rather than lockers. ¥10 per day. ¥15 to ¥20 for larger pieces. 24 hours from whenever you leave it to whenever you get it back. Multiple lots of 24 hours presumably available.
