From PEK to ICN
 

I am checking flights from PEK to ICN, but even though it's a mere 2 hour flight, the fares are out of this world. A roundtrip seem to set me back 1100 USD, no matter which carrier I am trying (Korean Air, Asiana, Air China, etc).

Does anyone have any tip on how getting between those two cities for something slightly less?

It's as simple as waiting to book until you reach Beijing. I've found tickets to other Asia destinations for as little as a quarter of prices available on supposedly discount sights in the West. Use an agent when in Beijing rather than an airline's own office since there can also be a huge disparity in prices between the two (especially with foreign airlines).

Yeah, plan less than $150 each way (I've seen PEK-ICN price out at less than PEK-SHA).
