Looking for Middle Eastern food in Shanghai
Ni hao everyone,
I just recently moved to Shanghai for an indefinite amount of time, and for whatever reason, I cannot stop thinking about eating Middle Eastern food. Hummous, Baba ghanouj, Foul medames, Kofte, you name it, I will most likely eat it...except for those organs, enough of those. Anyways, if anybody knows of these restaurants, please inform me. Anywhere in the city is convenient for me, as I like to wander and explore too. Cheers, TBSteaks |
1001 Arabian Nights is the only place that comes to mind off the top of my head. It is decent, but I'm sure you can do better. Maybe check City Weekend or Time Out ?

Although I'm not aure about the meze part, food from the western Muslim provinces, Xinjiang and Gansu is widely available and worth tasting.

You can pretty much plan a whole day there: -lunch -root canal -DVD shopping -massage while watching DVDs |

I forgot about that one. It's right across the street from my dentist (hope I don't have to see him again soon!), Tai Pan, DVD World, and Better DVD World.
