3G is coming
 

It's been pretty much confirmed that China Mobile is going to roll out its long awaited 3G network within the next 3 weeks. They're using their own system, which is referred to as "TD" (because they didn't want to get nailed with years of royalty payments to western companies) and, at the outset, only Chinese handset manufacturers will support it.

glad that they do something here but a pity for me since I am not going to buy a Chinese model. Wish they would introduce real 3G. Do you think big international manufacturers like Nokia etc. will support this in the future (its a big market thou)? If so, probably only on there Chinese models and not on the international???

Of course, those companies will support it (based on the bolded text). We just might need to wait for a month or two.
