Three Gorges Dam
 

Has anyone visited the Three Gorges Dam recently? Is it worth a visit? My main question is- Is it possible/worth it to visit just the dam project, apart from a river cruise package. I am helping some family members organize a trip to China and they want to see the dam but don't want to spend the time on a river cruise. The ideal would be to do it all in one day if possible.
