Need quick help!
 

My girlfriend was scheduled to fly SZX-PEK on 4G (Shenzhen Air) about now, connecting to PEK-SIN on CA at about 3pm. PEK has heavy snow and all pax have now deplaned (they were on board ready for taxi). She needs to get to SIN for another flight tomorrow. What options does she have?

Immediate problem solved. Putting her on MI965 SZX-SIN at 16.55. Only J seats left, but insurance says they'll reimburse. Two further questions: is she able to get anything back from 4G (or is it ZH?) and CA? And which lounge does MI use at SZX (if any)?

Update: Got refund for SZX-PEK flight, chasing CA for PEK-SIN flight. Business lounge at SZX was ok - some hot food and mediocre wine & liquor. Check in was permitted only 2 hours before flight. Staff incredibly slow. MI J class nice with good service. She's in SIN now and heading for airport.

nah, this forum is good. i actually wanted to reply to you (i saw this thread when you first posted), but i was on internet holiday (aside from the earthquake, yesterday, i discovered that the guy who had been staying with me had inadvertantly unplugged my router).

well, i'm glad all worked out. fwiw, my company recently booked me on that 3p pek-sin flight and i told them to change it, or else sin would be moondongless... $300 later, i was on the 4p sq flight. i'm all about saving coin, but i have to draw the line somewhere (the ca flight i was on stops in xiamen and has a redeye return).
