Judging by the Palm Springs Marriott apartments (which are no longer managed by Marriott), the answer would be yes. Those were really nice apartments, and I can't imagine that they would apply different standards to Sandalwood.

Thanks! I hope you're right. So I guess I'll book it for our 4th night in Beijing rather than our first night... :D

Old thread, but wondering if anyone knows what typical laundry prices are like at 5* Beijing hotels.

Similar to laundry prices at 5 star hotels around the world. In other words....expensive.

Of course expensive, but its all relative. I wouldn't expect NYC/Paris laundry prices in Beijing. For example, room service is often quite reasonable in China - can't say the same about most Western countries.

Grand Hyatt last month was somewhere between 300 CNY and 600 CNY (after tax or service charge or whatever it was) for two full changes of clothing (not dry cleaning, no pressing)? I think a generic shirt was somewhere between 40 CNY and 80 CNY?
I'm sorry that I don't remember more precise values, but hopefully you can get at least an order-of-magnitude estimate from this?

I personally wouldn't have called the Grand Hyatt a five-star, but what do I know?

As the other poster says it going to be around CNY 50 per item, a bit less for underwear. Mind you for underwear you're probably cheaper going to a shop to buy brand new replacements :) Many Chinese (and other Asian) hotels have washing lines in the bathroom so you can wash some clothing yourself.

Hello,

Reviving an old thread.

Options for laundry in central Beijing (other than the hotel by the piece)? Any drop off/wash/dry/fold services?

(Planning for a 30 day trip and deciding how big of bag to carry!)

TIA!

I used to drop off at a dry cleaner because they were the closest.
Was cheap back then (~15 years ago).

How do you define central Beijing?

If you search on Dianping for 洗衣店 and you'll find some options

For a thirty night stay, I'd definitely angle for a room that has its own washer/dryer.
