Hotel recommendations for Qingdao, China?

It would help to know if you're going for business or pleasure. If the former, I suggest you check out the Crowne Plaza. For liesure, the Shangri-La might be a better choice. In any case, hotels in Qingdao are fairly cheap for the most part; just don't get suckered into paying rack rates.

Anyone hear of the Hui Quan Dynasty Hotel?

Its listed in Lonely Planet as a top end hotel. I may even have stayed there, but I need to go back into my records to check which one I stayed at when I went to Qingdao
