-CZ and MU each add 2 LAX
-CA adds 1 JFK and 1 LAX
I'm guessing MF will also add more LAX, HU might stake a claim to something, and that the full 12 will be settled by mid September.

While I don't fully understand how CAAC divvies up route authorities, CA gets first dibs on flights from BJS to important markets, but others can go after the scraps (e.g. BOS, HNL, LAS, SJC).

Very happy to see DL stepping up. Competition and supply keep a lid on prices.

Keep in mind AA says it is resuming flights in January 2024, not Q3 or Q4 2023, so probably not part of the current increases. But who knows, no one is bothering to publicly explain the allocation process on either side.

Doubling capacity is unquestionably good for consumers. Doing so in a manner that doesn't give UA an oversized role is even better, BUT if only UA gets its act together during Q3, then so be it.

Step 2 in what may end being a 20-step process. Every little bit helps. UA resuming flights helps, but it helps even more when DL also steps up their flights.
