Maglev ride for 18hr layover

We (2 adults and 2 young children) arrive at PVG at 4pm on Jan 1 from BKK. Our onward flight to NRT leaves from PVG at 10am on Jan 2. We will be spending the night of Jan 1 at the PuLi Hotel.

I don't have much on the list of things to do, but we would love to ride the Maglev. It appears that during our time there it won't reach max speed, but it's still something we want to do.

Looking at various maps (transit, Google Maps), it appears we can take the Maglev from PVG airport station to Longyang Road station, then take the line 2 or 7 subway to Jing'an Temple station. From there it appears we can walk to the PuLi hotel. I'm thinking we can do the reverse for our departure the morning of January 2.

Is there anything I'm missing here? Basically I'm just looking for confirmation that this is do-able at the dates/times and routing. We don't speak or read Chinese, so not sure if that will be an issue. Since we're transit passengers we won't have much baggage with us.

Plan on using the Maglev in one direction only (so you can cross it off your list).

Between Longyang Road and JA Temple, line 2 is faster than line 7; both are packed to the gills. If you decide to use a taxi or car service instead, message me so I can give you my phone number; I will ensure that you don't get "taken for a ride".

Your plan is perfectly fine.
One thing to note is that the fare for Maglev is 50RMB. If you present an flight tickets for the same day then the fare is reduced to 40RMB. Return tickets are 80RMB.
The subway (line 2) will take 25 minutes and cost 4RMB.
Check the subway map here: http://www.exploreshanghai.com/metro/

Thanks!

Just to close the loop on this, the trip went fairly smoothly. After arriving at PVG, we took the Maglev to Longyang station, then the Line 2 MRT to Jing'An Temple station, followed by a very short walk to our hotel.

The next morning we took a taxi from the hotel to Longyang station, then the Maglev back to PVG airport. The taxi only cost CNY 49.
