Bus options for HKG to Guangzhou

We'll be flying into HKG from NRT in July at 10:00 PM and we need to get to Guangzhou.

Are there any buses that still operate from HKG to Guangzhou at that time after 10 PM? Is there a difference in time between buses that cross into the mainland at Shenzhen Bay and those at Huanggang? We want to go to Guangzhou by 2 am at the latest so we can get to our relative's place. Would that be possible or do you think it would be better if we book a cheap hotel in Hong Kong for the night and take a train from Hung Hom the next morning instead?

Last direct coach from HKG to Guangzhou departs at 10:15p. You'll miss it. So, you have to make a connection. Forget Shenzhen Bay as last coach departs 10:20p. So, just take a coach to Huangguang, cross the border, and then look for coaches to Guangzhou. I don't know specifics, but there should be coaches 24 hours. Whether you can get to GZ by 2am is unclear.

Another option is to get a car for the transportation which is the best way. It might takes you about 100 USD -150 USD to pick you up at the airport and send to GD directly.

Your rates seem to be a bit out of date (I'd be impressed if you could pull off the same for less than $250 now).

Good to know, thanks. It never occurred to me to use taobao for this type of service.

You are welcome. Sometimes you can find great hotel deal on taobao.com as well. E.g. USD70 for Beijing HH Double Tree, etc...
