Fast Track Immigration at PEK

I was told there is no fast track immigration in PEK. Is it really true? They have it in PVG, so I am a bit surprise that they do not have it in PEK

I've flown First and Business on UA into PVG but never had or saw a Fast Track like they have in London where F/C passengers have a special line. I'm pretty sure there isn't one in Beijing either based on my last flight. I do understand if you have small children or handicapped, they do have special lines but it isn't a true line for business travelers.

If there is a Fast Track, tell me how to get on that line.

Not sure about exact definition of fast track is
but seems this place offers their version.

Services in Beijing (PEK)

Fast Track. For Arrivals you are met at or near the air-bridge, fast-tracked through immigration, helped with recovering your bags, escorted through customs and taken to your driver in a special VIP area (for which we need your car number plates in advance if you use a hotel provided or third party vehicle). For Departures you are helped with check-in, fast-tracked through immigration and accompanied to your lounge and/or to your gate.

This is news to me (I fly into PVG pretty often, and have never noticed such a service).

Correct - have never seen it before. The other service mentioned is not fast track either - it is just an escort, you still need to stand in the line at immigration.

In PEK, in T2 there is a fast track line, need VIP credentials (govt.)

In T3, i have not seen the same type of line. And in T3 one would have to wait for your bags anyway. Bags in T2 are very quick.

There is this company that doing it. They have a rather big counter in the departure hall. I can't recall the company name though. I did use this service in Jan

yeah only meet and great service which I found it useless. I was told there is VIP terminal but need driver details, i.e. I cannot take taxi, and they need the information 3 days in advances.

Well I guess I will just use my APAC card.

There is no absolute need to be a VIP yourself, but you need to be able to find a (very) important organization to set it up. By using a prominent SOE, I have been able to arrange this exactly once during my entire career in China. The recipients told me that it really was quite impressive (5 minutes from airplane to car, and almost no walking required).

In PEK there is a special line for APEC card holders, which I believe US citizens are not yet eligible for. http://travel.apec.org/

And of course diplomats etc.

PEK definitely has the VIP meet-and-greet service, although it's not worth the money at all from what I saw. Girl walking next to a businessman texting and checking her weixin. Had the bags come out along with everyone elses, and they took the shuttle train together, where I saw her take a phone call from (what seemed to be) her boyfriend.

I would love if they opened up the e-channel to those who travel in and out all the time.

I only know of a separate queue for security screening departing PVG if flying Business/First class.

Does anyone know if PEK has such a line in T3 departures? The immigration and security when you get off the train can be rough. Thanks.

I flew business out of PEK quite often. I never noticed a different line for business and first, but perhaps I wasn't paying attention.

Yes, the line can be long and slow. That's probably why check-in stops 60 minutes before departure. It usually takes 30 minutes or more to take the train and pass through immigration and security. and 5-10 minutes to run to your gate.
