D gates now in use at PEK-T3
What the title says .... Just leaving today from PEK and noticed signs up for the "D" gates, being used now for some domestic flights.
The T3-shuttle trains at the moment at least are running some trains going direct to T3E, and some only going to T3D, so you may need to pay a little extra attention if running to catch a train about to leave). Access to the D gates is through the usual international departures lanes - though now they have installed automated gates that require you to scan your boarding pass. |

Sounds like they are making an already painful airport even more brutal. T3 had so much promise and it's turned out to be such a dump. How they can't get it to at least Hongqiao levels of quality baffles me. With so many nice airports in Asia I'm always amazed that airports in China, especially the 3 main international gateways, are so new and yet so poor. I can only conclude that someone well placed is benefiting from the current situation and would lose out if things improved by bringing in competent management and concessionaires.

If you took that bet with just about anything in China I suspect you'd make a lot of money.
