The Chinese want venomous snakes, necessary for medicinal qualities.
Indigenous to the US are rattlesnakes, copperheads, cottonmouths, and coral snakes. Better ship over only sterile snakes. Shortly after the first shipment of live snakes sent over they will breed their own, if they aren't already. |

Trust me, they are breeding in massive quantities already. There is $1.3B in China plus all the Chines not in China.
Imports from US are most likely not fake! ;) That's really hitting below the belt. When I order cobra hot pot, I don't expect some garden variety snake.:D |

http://www.chron.com/business/articl...or-1632821.php BTW, as someone who was raised around supreme seafood, nothing disgusts me more than Tilapia... well, I shouldn't say nothing, lest the next time one of you guys visits China, you'll treat me to sea slug and I won't be able to refuse (culturally impolite). |

Less likely to be cheated and often times it's edible.:) |
Well, at least my genuine USA-raised snakes won't contain any melamine or toxic chemicals! Promise. We'll aim for the Premium Snake segment, not the low end mass market. :p

My last SH visit I brought two cans of baby formula as a gift for a business associate who just had a baby and seems like he appreciated that more than the usual six pack of steak. |
Getting back on topic:
In 1986 Pizza Hut HK introduced Char Siu pizza (Chinese BBQ sauce) and roasted duck pizza (sweet bean sauce for BJ duck) soon after; so adapting topping to local palate is not something new for them. How about imported US snake pizza for 2013? |

How about imported US snake pizza for 2013? Could import the rattlesnake sausage and put on the pizza. Apollonia's Pizzeria Wilshire Blvd Los Angeles Apollonia’s Pizzeria offers an exotic sausage menu which includes the “Dirty Agent” (rattlesnake sausage with tomato, onion and garlic) and other tasty sausages such as alligator and basil, duck and bacon, chicken tequila and Mexican chorizo. |

Doesn't American manufacturing aim for the mass market? These aren't Italian snakes, buddy!

Um, Shimon old pal, snakes are not a manufactured item. My snakes will be lovingly raised, classical music played to them, fed beer, bellies rubbed, etc. It works for Japanese cows and that superfancy, superpricey beef--why not for snakes!? :p :D
You are doing this wrong, if your target is China the snakes should be fed 黄酒 or better still, mice wine, and entertained with Chinese Opera! :D |
