china southern first class booking code

Hi Guys,

we are flying china southern from Auckland to Heathrow in December and have a booking code of D buisness into china and a code of P into Heathrow The Flight to Heathrow from China is meant to be First class as i payed more for it plus paying higher tax to land in Heathrow!.

My question is P class doesnt seem to be first class as they have two levels of first class on the flight one being buisness renamed first class, the other luxury first, which is the class i thought i had booked.
How do i found out were i am seating????? the travel agent has been able to book the seats from Auckland to China but not onwards, so she didnt really have a idea either.

Cheers Guys

I suggest you call CZ in Guangzhou and ask them about your specific booking.

But, I believe your increased tax concerns are largely unfounded because: 1) APD only applies to departures from the UK; 2) even in this case, and all premium classes get hosed equally.

P is discounted first class on int'l and domestic routes. A is full fare first on int'l routes.

C, D, J is business class.

As your airplane has a four class config on an int'l route, P is luxury first.

thanks guys, i paid a large increase for what the travel agent ( from a large agency) told me was for tax because of our class upgrade, i might just contact them to find out why we paid it
