Need Help Selecting Tour to China
 

I'd like to go to China in 2010 for 9 to 10 days to visit Beijing, Xi'ian, and Shanghai. Any recommendations for a tour group? Has anyone traveled with a Friendly Planet Travel group? Best month to go? Also, I'd appreciate comments on airlines and seat recommendations in the various classes. The above tour group uses Air China from LA, but I'm still pursuing options. Thanks for any suggestions you can give me.

In 2007 my family traveled to China. While we visited Hong Kong and Macau on our own (we have friends in Macau) we used Travelchinaguide.com for a two week tour PRC. We signed up for the small group tour, and we were 3 of a group of ten. They were outstanding. Excellent guides, good quality service, reasonable prices. They took nice care of the group. I would strongly recommend them.

Thanks for the suggestion. I will definitely check out the website as I like the idea of a small group. Travelearn used to take groups of 8 to 10, but, unfortunately, they didn't survive this economy.
