Tongli

Will be staying in Sheraton Suzhou and want to take a day trip to Tongli.

1. How much will cab be?
2. Can I just get in a cab in front of hotel? Or do I have to reserve it ahead?
3. Can I hail a cab inTongli easily to get back to Suzhou?
4. Where should I be dropped off in Tongli?
5. Any particular dining / attraction recommendations?

Thanks.

I have been to Suzhou but not Tongli; and have stayed at the Sheraton (great place, sorry to see it go soon).

1. Tongli is not that far, so I think it would not cost an arm. Be sure the driver has the meter ON.
2. Always several cabs parks on the ground level in front of the hotel. I don't think you need to reserve. To be safe, just ask to concierge.
3. Ask the concierge, same go for #4 & #5 (that depends on what would you want to do there; ride a boat and tour around? or just walk around?)

Yeah, I'm thinking about 6 bucks each way.

No, the owners are dropping the Starwood flag.

not far and shouldnt be expensive, if you travel with a small group, it will be more convenient and sometimes cheaper to get a van and a driver, ask the front desk of the hotel, they will direct you the the company which provides this kind of service
