I don't think I can stop laughing. :D

Great job, Skeletor! ^^

This is funny -- DHS is a laughing stock and showing itself to be just that.

You know, you might work for Ole Shirtoff himself

Do you know what this means:

"States and Territories Granted Extensions

Alabama
Alaska
Arizona
Arkansas
California
Colorado
Connecticut
Delaware
Florida
Georgia
Hawaii
Idaho
Illinois
Indiana
Iowa
Kansas
Kentucky
Louisiana
Maine
Maryland
Massachusetts
Michigan
Minnesota
Mississippi
Missouri
Montana
Nebraska
Nevada
New Hampshire
New Jersey
New Mexico
New York
North Carolina
North Dakota
Ohio
Oklahoma
Oregon
Pennsylvania
Rhode Island
South Carolina
South Dakota
Tennessee
Texas
Utah
Vermont
Virginia
Washington
West Virginia
Wisconsin
Wyoming
District of Columbia
American Samoa
Guam
Puerto Rico
N. Mariana Islands
Virgin Islands"

A correct list of all 50 states and 6 territories?

It means ONE employee at DHS is smarter than a fifth grader. :D

It's sad to see this. A few states that stood up to the nonsense didn't want extensions but were granted them anyway. :td:

Thanks for sharing....

This is even better than Dilbert.

I couldn't stop laughing.

Wonder how soon this page will be removed from their website?

REAL ID compliant drivers licenses and ID cards will allow you to board a federally-regulated airplane, access a federal facility or a nuclear power plant
Does this mean, if I can manage to get one of these, I can take a wander round a nuclear power station next time I come over on vacation.

Forget Disneyland that would be a much better sight-seeing tour

Yeah, that map kind of peeves me. Montana DID NOT request an extension. Montana WILL NOT request an extension. The Governor of MT signed a law that bars Montana from asking for an extension.

Grrrrr.

Probably wanted to avoid a situation where your governor would march up very publicly to the nearest airport with his non-compliant ID and give the TSA the choice of either passing him (setting a precedent) or denying him (giving him a platform to launch an even more public assault on the whole idea thanks to the media attention). Good on Montana.

Reminds me of a song...

Fifty, Nifty, United States from 13 origional colonies..... I still remember the jingle from 1976.

DHS and that webpage is just plain sad.

I just noticed this on the TSA site linked to above:

What does it mean if my State has been granted a REAL ID extension?

That means your State will be moving toward more secure driver's licenses. Secure identification is a 9/11 Commission recommendation that will help combat terrorism and identity theft.
Do they speak for all states listed, including Montana? I think not. WHAT BS!
