This slows down the line quite a bit with laptop carrying passengers like myself, because I refuse to release my laptop onto the x-ray belt until the WTMD screener waves me through. I often end up waiting--and totally stalling the x-ray line--while Pa Kettle from the other side divests himself of his giant alarming belt, or Ma Kettle divests herself of jingling jewelry.

2 x-ray lanes per WTMD makes sense to me. I always wait for my laptop to go into the x-ray before I walk through the WTMD; waiting for the WTMD is a lot less common.

TSA security is senseless. I went to a federal court building yesterday morning for something-none of this no liquids, take your belt off crap. By the way, my ID was not requested.

Can we get these guys to take over airport security?

That pretty much sums up my visit to the White House, though I did briefly show my ID.

The TSA should be destroyed and its leaders caned and deported.

So are you saying the long lines are to blame for the ID checkers?

Yes.

There has been a noticable difference in the time required to go through security @ PBI (I fly out of there every week) since the TSA took over ID checking.

It is partially a result of the length of time they spend slowly scrutinizing the ID, more a result of the reduction in # of lanes open -- but also very much a result of the TSA ID checkers "chatting" among themselves about work issues, gossip, last night's tv show, etc. while passengers stand in front of them with boarding pass and ID extended waiting for them to do their job....

So much for the scare tactics being used by DHS and TSA to force Montana and the other 3 states to the RealID program...."...you will be denied access to federal buildings....blah, blah.."

Wait until some federal judge gets mad because the Goons prevented his witness, juror, or lunch from arriving....contempt time.!

OMG, your OLCI BP did not glow in the dark? How is the weather down there in Gitmo this time of year? :D

Next time get a UV marking pen and add your own "KHIAI™" watermark. And a :).
