GER to UK - Asked at bag drop how long are you staying?
Longtime lurker here, had a puzzling experience recently and wanted to ask for your advice:
Flew from FRA to STN and was asked at the Ryanair bag drop: "How long are you staying in the UK?" and "Have you booked a ticket back?" I was too perplexed to ask why this is any of FR's business... As a German flying regularly within the EU - can you help me understand? |
Maybe they were practicing for UK imposing limits of max stay post Brexit? :)

Lack of training, I guess.
I had similar as a UK citizen NRT-CPH-AMS. Asked for an onward ticket from AMS, even though I had a boarding pass with the equivalent of 'DOCS OK' and a bag tag printed. Mentioned being an EU citizen and just got a blank stare. Showed an onward ticket AMS-LHR and she was happy. |
