TSA Oversight

I have no intention of starting an Omni type discussion. Not the intent of this post. So please contribute if you wish with that in mind.

TSA Acting Administrator Gowadia has recently been appearing before the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform. The topic has been been Whistle Blower Protection and how the Office of Special Counsel investigations of TSA retaliation against whistle blowers has been hampered by the lack of transparency on the part of TSA. It seems that part of the problem is coming directly from TSA General Counsel Francine Kerner.

There are a few video clips at https://oversight.house.gov/hearing/...arency-at-tsa/ that should open eyes about how TSA conducts itself. There seems, in my eyes, to be a very serious and problematic issue of avoiding oversight by TSA. I think we can better understand just how dysfunctional TSA really is, and if this displays the standard manner of operations by TSA senior leadership why would we expect anything different with the screeners we encounter at our airports.

I encourage everyone to spend the few minutes needed to watch the video clips between the Committee, TSA, and the OSC. The videos are very enlightening.

I think the behaviors displayed by the Acting Administrator, the lack of transparency seen from TSA, and the actions of local screeners validate my belief that TSA is a self-serving organization that feels it is above the law and above oversight.

We have a serious problem with TSA as an organization.

I was briefly reminiscing about Francine the Googling Attorney. She and another TSA lawyer also almost single-handedly screwed up the Moussaoui case.

If it were two TSA lawyers wouldn't that have been quadruple-handedly?

Maybe Shakespeare's famous quote from Henry VI was right all along.

There would have to be some congitive mathematical skills on the part of Francine and Carla. (That's a TS&S "clinical" way of saying "stupid.")
