TDC needed help? [checking ID]
I really don't know what to think of this...
Just went through JFK T8 TSA. TDC seemed to get confused while checking my ID and boarding pass and called a supervisor for help. I can only think of 2 reasons for such "confusion". - Gender marker on passport not matching TDCs assumptions of what said marker would suggest - Title added to first name on pass, while not appearing in name in passport - as some GDSs tend to do during booking and transfering data to other GDSs. After supervisor arrived and cleared "issue" in under a second, I go to the belt to unload bags, etc. Normally, when at TSA checkpoints, I put my laptop, by itself, in one bin, Pockets get emptied into the laptop bag and I have a total of 4 items, in order laptop bag > laptop > shoes > backpack. I put the backpack on the belt last, just before the laptop bag enters the xray by resting the backpack on the belt and then sliding my arms out, so I don't have to lift an arm out. Unable to lift and hold arms up, through metal detector, hand swab. When I get back to the belt for my things, I find: laptop bag > someone elses bag > shoes > backpack. I question where my laptop is. Just after I ask, it comes out of the xray, 7 places back from where I had put it, then it gets pulled for a "bag check". |
I get gate passes all the time at T8 and AA is notorious for misspelling something and TDC always catches it even if I did not. One of my employees AA dropped 2nd "l" from Wellington.
Since AA is host airline we have to get gate passes from them only so I don't know about the other international carriers. |
