RDU weirdness today
 

Just went through security. Everyone directed through metal detectors, no removal of shoes, of laptops or jackets. weirdest of all..... the TSA agents were almost pleasant!

That's how it should always be.

Knock on wood, but I have always found the RDU TSA folks down right nice even. Not true of other airports unfortunately.

But what about all the planes that fell out of the sky today?

Yeah, same thing happened to me at MCO in February. PreCheck-level screening for everybody, only WTMD alarms were being escalated to NoS (I couldn't tell whether HHMD were being used first). It was quick and painless, which was great because I was traveling with my brother and 15-year niece, neither of whom had ever flown before.
