Tampa CBS Affiliate's Investigative Branch Going After Pre-Check?

Transcript of promo during the SEC Championship Game:

"While you’re waiting in long lines at the airport, 10 Investigates uncovered that some passengers, without background checks, get to skip the line. Concerned? You should be.

The potential risk to your security, Monday at 11:00 on Ten News."

Interesting considering the expansion of pre-check...

A reason to stop watching their usual BS and stick to NBC 8 here

You should contact the news station and tell them they really need to keep up on current events

This "outing" of precheck seems to be a nationwide effort on the part of CBS as a Google search finds several vids from LA to FL on this oh-so-dangerous practice of allowing the great unwashed to jump the line.

Pretty much. It seems to be making the rounds on all the CBS O&O stations. It was on WBZ' last week.

And on WCBS in New York during November sweeps. Putting aside the misleading nature of that tease (PreCheck pax still get SOME form of screening, although the ones who get pulled into line haven't had the background check), it sure sounds like someone at CBS has it out for PreCheck.

Everyone who buys an airline ticket gets some kind of background check done by the TSA, PreCheck's is just a bit more intense.

However, in the case of people just pulled out of line and sent to PreCheck, have you forgot that Pistole said his BDO's have analyzed their behavior and believe they are trust-worthy enough to be sent to PreCheck, (where the chances are still pretty good that they will also be sent through the NOS.)

I wish CBS's competitors would investigate the efficacy of the PreCheck background check.
