Man with Google Glass gets questioned by DHS at movie theater

This isn't really travel related but I thought 2 things in this story were of interest. As we see more people using Google Glass we may see some travel related issues. What if you are wearing them in the TSA screening area or on an aircraft where the airline has rules against photographing flight crews or equipment? What if you wear them as you go through a CBP immigration area? And were DHS agents really necessary? Yes, part of their mission may be to combat product piracy but this sure seemed like more of a local police issue.

Someone needs to wear Google glasses, with prescription lenses, to record a private pat down. However, I am fairly certain the TSA would freak out and insist on removal of the glasses whether or not the victim needed them to see.

This indicates an overstaffing problem in this DHS department.

I concur. It's only a matter of time before our police-state is being recorded at every turn. The power will finally be back in the hands of the people.

Sounds as if the 100-mile Constitution-Free Zone got significantly expanded.

I hope the Google Glass owner told DHS to go do something biologically obscene to itself.
