Evict TSA from our airports. Charge TSA "leader" scumbags, past and present, with many crimes. Tell airlines and airports that their security is now entirely up to them. Problem solved.

Gotta lobby them. We tried lobbying NJ government officials to ban some ridiculous practices in EWR, but it didn't get too far - the TSA is "above the law" quite literally in that sense - state government apparently didn't have the right to tell them what to do

Not quite.

The TSA doesn't need to be privatized. The TSA needs to be dissolved, and real security functions assigned to the various airlines.

No current employee of the organization labeled "TSA" should be transferred.

I remember the pre-9/11 privatized security.
Maybe half the time the screener couldn't speak English.

I returned from LPB to MIA about 9-18 after
being grounded there for a week. Same problem.

So, despite all the other annoying issues,
TSA agents have been able to talk to me in English since then.

I couldn't care less what language they speak if they are not sexually assaulting me, trying to take naked pictures of me, or trying to steal my liquids and other non-credible items.

I take it you haven't been through ATL, DFW, AUS, or PHX in the past five years.

Less than half of any of the TSA employees in those airports are understandable.

So what? Lax gate security wasn't the cause of the 9/11 attacks.
