Denmark the most polite security!

Just came back from Europe. Denmark has the best polite security in the world. They even post it at their airport Kastrup.

Everything is please mam and with a smile. Thank you mam with a smile.
If you have a question they answer it with a smile. And in the end HAVE A GREAT TRIP. With a SMILE.
TSA learn something from this.

Also you can get an opposite sex screener to pat you down. With a smile too? :D

The CPH screeners are also more personable than most screeners in the EU.

TSA will respond that the threats the US faces from terrorism are different from the threats that Denmark faces from terrorism --- and so any comparison of Danish security to US security is unhelpful.

The rebuttal to that argument is obvious. But, nevertheless, the point will be lost on TSA.

You can teach something forever but unless the target group has some capacity to learn you would be wasting your time.

Dont know if it is. Cause this was me going from this danish Kastrup air port for a flight to New York. At this time I went through 5 security points. BUT nobody was rude , nobody was yelling, nobody was on a power trip. Back in USA at J.F. Kennedy airport the TSA yelles at people"dont you people listen, pay attention".Most people were laughing behind their back and all said so different in Europe.

I had no security screaming at me at any European airport. At some places they are private companies, some other places they are police types. Still no shouting, no impoliteness.

Come to think of it, neither had any screaming in the Middle-East or the Far-East either.

I've flown through Denmark dozens of times. Nothing negative to report, other than the occasional random search after the wtmd. But it's pretty quick and painless.

Some barking and stupidity at AMS, though.

BRU too.

ZRH can be heavy-handed as well with the groping...

But I too had a great experience in the special SAS business line at CPH.

I hear British screeners shouting and screaming -- that's at LHR. Not as common as with the TSA, but still way more frequent than at any non-TSA airport to which I travel at least a few times a year

Hong Kong is hard to beat with speed, service, courtesy and no hassle.

I know someone who works for Security at CPH, and he tells me that they won a Skytraxx award for their service.

Today might have been some other kind of award:

CPH has long lines though, unless you're in the fast track line. One of my least favorite European airports when flying w/o status.

The lines appear long regularly but move quickly usually.

I was at CPH many dozens of times over last year and this year when I didn't use fast track screening. The longest wait in line I had was 15-25 minutes; and on average not more than 10 minutes.

tanja Sep 5, 2013 1:21 pm

I rather stand in line a bit longer. Than have security screaming, rude attitude and ignorent.
I dont like long lines at all. But it is worse to be treated like a criminal when the only thing I am trying to do is flying.
