Freezing Liquids
Is there any rule prohibiting passengers from freezing their
liquids, so that they are "solid" during the pass through security? |
Ice and solid frozen liquids are ok to be taken through a checkpoint.
|
Just yesterday, an astute TSO spotted a water bottle in my wife's bag.
But the bag of rapidly melting ice that was keeping some food cool in my own carry-on, and which held more water than said bottle? Not a problem at all. |
Shortly after I had knee surgery, ORD TSA allowed me to take several frozen-solid ice packs through -- but I probably told them I had them before I put my bag on the belt.

|
Good memories of my bottle of frozen shampoo there!
We actually should test the frozen liquid rule again now that most TSOs probably forgot about the Britney rule... |
