Suits checking IDs at SLC
 

In the Terminal 1 check point at SLC, one of the lanes was manned by a suit. :cool:

Couple of observations

• Line was incredibly short
• Service with a smile
• No barkers... agents using the word "please"

Did the sun rise in the West today? I'm not sure since it is overcast here and was holed in a room till now. :confused:

Now - if they had turned off the porn-o-scope, I could swear I was in Zion :)

I flew out of SLC T1 on Monday and I had the same experience. Normal line was a bit long, but the elite line was very short. Suit was checking the elites' IDs.

Didn't look like it was a "fill in" as they rotated right before it was my turn - one suit replaced another. Suit was polite too.

I also opted out and instead of patting me down, the moat dragon let me go thru the WTMD instead since I opted out before she selected me for the NoS. :eek: Next several people after me went thru the WTMD too.

I'm flying to SLC the weekend of the 21st. I'll be curious if it's still going on then.

A buddy went through SLC today as well and said that TSA was on their best behavior, incredibly polite, helpful and no barking whatsoever.

He said something to the suit who checked his ID and the suit said that Mgmt was filling in because they were short some staff and needed front line people to do the screening.

So management is doing the only job they're qualified to perform? One that (see my other rants) doesn't even need doing?

Nah.......it's that suits can't be seen performing a grope. Or can't stomach the task. So they hide out in the TDC position to avoid doing the "wet work".

Best behavior ... I wonder if Chaffetz is giving them crap again.
